This is the second song, “Do U Wanna Come?” from my EP “Chapter 0: REINKARNAL”. Download below, you can download for free but if you can afford to pay something for it, please do - you can pay however much or little you want. Do U Wanna Come
written by s-endz
produced by s-endz & simon “subs” duggal
mixed, engineered and mastered by simon “subs” duggal at sub dub studios

“Do U Wanna Come” is an uptempo neofunk dancefloor jam, written by s-endz, produced by s-endz and simon “subs” duggal, a homage to classic 70’s funk likes james brown and the ohio players, but with a contemporary twist.

It was originally conceived in May 2008 at my home studio. I programmed the drums and played a synth bass part before writing all the lyrics. I did a rough vocal demo in July before taking it to simon’s studio, where he added a guitar part and some synth stabs, and we re-recorded the vocals.

The song remained mostly the same throughout 2009 and 2010, before we came back to it in mid 2011, shortened it down, re-did all the synth parts, and did the final mix.

“she took me by surprise…..”

i’m your #1 body rocker, all of the time ;)

This is a preview of the documentary that accompanies the release of the brand new album “Condensate” by THE ORIGINAL 7VEN (the band formerly known as The Time)….. I can’t wait to buy this!

Reunited for the first time in 21 years…THE ORIGINAL 7VEN (The Band Formerly Known As The Time) return with their brand new single “#Trendin” from the upcoming album Condensate.

That’s right folks: Morris Day, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Jesse Johnson, Monte Moir, Jellybean Johnson and Jerome Benton are back! 7 of the funkiest brothers you ever did hear, straight outta Minneapolis :)

As for the song, it’s a cold hard groove and I wouldn’t expect anything less from them! Love it and can’t wait for the album!

I don’t want anything to take attention away from what this supremely talented group of musicians is doing, so I’m not going to speak too much on the whole name change and what the perspective of His Royal Badness might be on this project, so I’ll just say I hope it has his blessing, as it would be a shame otherwise!

One of my favorite songs of all time. Jesse was killing it with the look as well. Serious swagged out androgyny.

This is an unreleased song called Crazy Love by one of my favorite artists, and one of the greatest funk artists of all time - Jesse Johnson. Here’s the back story to this recent leak, from forum member jahcornelius on prince.org, who leaked it.

“I bought about 12 reel to reel master tapes from someone who claimed to have gotten them in a music trunk from jesse years ago. The tapes were masters from Jesse - which included songs he produced for Vanity, Keith Cohen and a few others.

This was the only unreleased Jesse song, and it was labeled “Crazy Love” as the song, and “Real Life Mode” was listed as the album.”

The self-titled, only album by daKRASH is possibly the heaviest funk album ever recorded. Produced by Jesse Johnson. Play this on a good system and the snares feel like they’re coming out of the speakers and punching you in the chest! Love it.

Stone cold Minneapolis groove plus Jesse Johnson given free reign on lead guitar = this!

The Time - Blondie

Yes, I have been listening to The Time for the past 2 hours. Starting with their unreleased 1989 album “Corporate World”, then back to the 3 original classics - “The Time”, “What Time Is It?” and “Ice Cream Castles”…. It still amazes me how you had a band with three of my favourite musicians EVER (Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Jesse Johnson) and yet all of their music was written and produced by my #1 favourite…..the one and only PRINCE. Gotta give mad props to Morris Day too. Insanely charismatic vocalist.
Oh-we-oh-we-oh……. JUNGLE LOVE!
